By joining Fort Eben-Emael as a member you are making a direct contribution to the maintenance, preservation and restoration of the fort.

In return for a yearly membership fee of at least € 12 you will enjoy discounted access each time you visit us and will receive our membership newsletter ‘Castrum’ (Dutch/French only).

In addition, you will be invited to our regular maintenance and preservation days.  We organise at least 2 of these each year and they are a great way for our members to help keep the fort in good order.  Each maintenance and preservation day also includes an exclusive visit or a seminar on the history of the fort, the Belgian army or wider aspects of WW2.

Your support plays a vital role in keeping the history of Fort Eben-Emael alive.  For more than 35 years, the generosity of many people has helped us to look after the fort and the memory of the people who have served and sacrificed here. With your support we can continue this vital work, and preserve this precious place for everyone, for ever.

In 2021, we launched a project to redevelop a number of rooms in our museum area and to open up additional bunkers that have not seen daylight since WW2.  As a charity, we rely on your donations to ensure that as many people as possible enjoy the fort, objects and landscape that tell the story of this unique military heritage site.

To make a donation by bank transfer:

Beneficiary: Fort Eben-Emael
Bank account (IBAN): BE80 8601 0494 4177
BIC: NICABEBB

Caution: deposits to the fort’s account do not entitle you to a fiscal certificate.

However, you can receive a tax certificate if you are a Belgian taxpayer, and make a one-off or periodic donation of a minimum of €40 to Herita’s account number BE80 7330 5894 1977. Do not forget to include ‘Fort Eben-Emael donation’ in the message field of your bank transfer. You we receive proof of payment for your next tax return.

This allows you to recover 45% of the value of your donation via your annual income tax bill.  A donation worth € 100 will thereby only cost you € 55.
