Visit without a guide

In just 15 minutes, the introductory film The Story of the Fort provides an overview of the events on 10/11 May 1940.

During a self-guided visit, you can explore the impressive underground military complex. You will follow a designated visitor route through the underground barracks, the museum, and the infirmary, walk through a limited section of the 5-kilometre tunnel system on the middle level, and gain a clear impression of the effects of a shaped-charge explosion.

Your visit is not time-limited, so feel free to stay as long as you like. On average, visitors spend about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The visitor route is open from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
The last admission is at 3 p.m.

No reservation required.

For safety reasons, visits without a guide do not provide acce to:

  • the combat bunkers,
  • the gun room of an artillery casemate,
  • the command post.

By visiting the fort, you accept our terms and conditions.

Adjustment of admission fees

From the 2026 season onwards, an adjustment of the admission prices will apply.

This adjustment is necessary due to several factors, including:

  • the increase in VAT rates for museum visits as of 1 April,
  • general cost increases,
  • mandatory and essential investments required to comply with legislation and to ensure the comfort and safety of our visitors.

We appreciate the understanding of our visitors.

There will be no price adjustments for private visits, group visits or school visits.
