Important

 

  • A starting price based on a minimum of 11 participants.
  • If you have more than 100 participants, please contact us.
  • A fixed and low cost per guide.
  • The number of guides is determined by the number of participants. We will provide 1 guide per 25 participants. Children under 7 years are not counted towards this total.
  • Pre-booking is required and reservations can be made up to 5 days before the date of visit.
  • Cancellations are possible by email only and up to 2 working days before the date of your booking. In case of later cancellation or 'no show' the cost of the guide(s) will still be charged.
  • Payment at the ticket office, electronically or in cash, on the day of the visit, unless otherwise agreed with the admin office in advance.
  • For groups smaller than 11 participants, choose a private tour.

What to expect

Discover the fort on a guided tour of 2.5 hours of the interior of the fort

This tour includes:

  • A short film about the history of the fort
  • The barracks and the museum
  • Part of the tunnel network
  • The command post and a bunker
  • The site of a massive explosion of a hollow charge with its disastrous consequences

This visit is accessible for wheelchair users, but assistance is required. The combat bunkers are not wheelchair accessible. People with heart problems or limited mobility are advised not to visit a combat bunker.

A shortened visit of the interior of the fort with a guide of approximately 1.5 hours.

This tour includes:

  • A short film about the history of the fort
  • The barracks and the museum
  • A view of the large staircase and the entrance to the immense tunnel network
  • The site of a massive explosion caused by a hollow charge with its disastrous consequences (provided visitors are able to climb chairs)

This tour is wheelchair accessible and suitable for people with reduced mobility.

What to expect

Discover the fort during a guided tour of 3.5 hours, exploring both its interior and exterior.

This group visit includes:

  • A short film about the history of the fort
  • The barracks and the museum
  • Part of the tunnel network
  • The command post and a bunker
  • The site of a massive explosion caused by a hollow charge with its disastrous consequences
  • An outdoor walk to the plateau and the site of the gliderborne attack (*), located 65 m above the entrance
  • Detailed information about the casemates, cupolas, and defensive bunkers of the fort
  • An in-depth explanation of the glider landings and the assault on the fort
* For the outdoor visit, please wear clothing that is appropriate for the weather conditions.

This visit is not wheelchair accessible, and not suitable for people with limited mobility or heart problems.

More information and booking

The underground barracks and the museum are heated. The tunnel network has a constant temperature of 11°C. A sweater or jacket is strongly recommended. We also recommend closed shoes.
