This tour includes:

  • A short film about the history of the fort
  • The barracks and the museum
  • A view of the large staircase and the entrance to the immense tunnel network
  • The site of a massive explosion caused by a shaped charge, showing its disastrous consequences (accessible to visitors who are able to climb stairs)

Due to the shortened visit, it is not possible to visit a gun chamber, combat bunker or casemate (level +2).

What to expect

A shortened visit of the interior of the fort with a guide of approximately 1.5 hours.

This tour includes:

  • The site of a massive explosion caused by a shaped charge, showing its disastrous consequences (accessible to visitors who are able to climb stairs)

Due to the shortened visit, it is not possible to visit a gun chamber, combat bunker or casemate (level +2).

  • The starting price is based on a minimum of 11 participants.
  • If you have more than 100 participants, please contact us in advance.
  • Fixed and low cost per guide.
  • The number of guides is determined by the number of participants. We will provide 1 guide per 25 participants. Children under 7 years do not count towards this total.
  • Pre-booking is required and reservations can be made up to 5 days before the date of your visit.
  • Cancellations are possible by email only and up to 2 working days before the date of your booking. In case of later cancellation or 'no show' the cost of the guide(s) will still be charged.
  • You can pay at the ticket office on the day of your visit, by card or in cash, unless otherwise agreed with us in advance.
  • For groups smaller than 11 participants, choose a private tour.

 

Practical Information

  • The guide(s) will be waiting for your group at the entrance of the fort
  • We ask you to be present 15 minutes before your chosen time slot
  • If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the visit may be shortened

The underground barracks and museum are heated for your comfort, while the tunnel network maintains a constant temperature of 11°C throughout the year. We strongly recommend bringing a sweater or light jacket and wearing closed-toe shoes.

This tour is wheelchair accessible and suitable for people with reduced mobility.

With the combination ticket, you can join a guided visit to a combat bunker and the command post. The barracks, museum, and the 180° immersive experience “Granit’s Attack at Dawn” can be explored at your own pace, either before or after the guided tour.

While reservations are not required, they are recommended, as the number of places on each guided tour is limited.
