What to expect

Important

  • The starting price is based on a minimum of 12 students.
  • If you have more than 100 students, please contact us in advance.
  • Low cost per guide.
  • We will provide 1 guide per +/- 20 students.
  • Pre-booking is required and reservations can be made up to 5 days before the date of visit.
  • Cancellations are possible by email only and up to 2 working days before the date of your booking. In case of later cancellation or 'no show' the cost of the guide(s) will still be charged.
  • Payment by invoice if requested at the time of booking. If not, please pay at the ticket office on the day of your visit, by card or in cash.

     

 

Practical Information

  • The guide(s) will be waiting for your group at the entrance of the fort
  • We ask you to be present 15 minutes before your chosen time slot
  • If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the visit may be shortened

The underground barracks and museum are heated, while the tunnel network maintains a constant temperature of 11°C. We strongly recommend wearing a sweater or jacket, as well as closed-toe shoes.

This visit is suitable for children aged 9 to 11/12. It is also suitable for less mobile children.

With the combination ticket, you will visit a combat bunker and the command post with a guide. The barracks and the museum can be visited at your own pace.

You can book a discovery tour as an individual visitor or together with friends. As part of a combined group, you will explore specific parts of the fort under the guidance of an expert guide.

Before or after the tour, you can freely visit the barracks and the museum and enjoy access to the immersive 180° experience “Granit’s Attack at Dawn.”

Reservation is required. The minimum age is 16.

Opening hours for May

During the month of May, several commemorative ceremonies related to the Second World War will take place. As a result, the opening hours of the fort are adjusted.

🔸 Sunday 3 May
Commemorative ceremony at the fort at 11:00.
The fort opens at 12:00 – last entry at 15:00.

🔸 Tuesday 5 May
Liberation Day (Netherlands).
Open from 10:00 to 17:00 – last entry at 15:00.

🔸 Sunday 10 May
Commemoration of the attack on the fort and on Belgium and the Netherlands.
No regular guided tours. Memorial Tours only (advance booking per time slot required – see link).
