During the battle for the fort and its surroundings on 10–11 May 1940, many soldiers and civilians lost their lives. We kindly ask all visitors to show appropriate respect while exploring this historic site.

If you wish to explore the fort on your own, no advance booking is required.

Our individual guided tours provide access to parts of the fort that are otherwise closed to visitors, offering a far richer experience. As availability is limited, we recommend booking online in advance. Online reservations are confirmed immediately, and payment is made at the ticket office upon arrival.

For all other group visits and school visits, online booking is required. Your reservation request will be reviewed by our team, after which you will receive a confirmation email. Once confirmed, your booking will be finalised.

The underground barracks are heated for your comfort.

The corridors and bunkers maintain a constant temperature of 11 °C throughout the year, so we recommend bringing a sweater and wearing closed-toe shoes.

The underground barracks and museum are wheelchair accessible. A lift provides access to the tunnel system on the middle level. Part of this tunnel system is accessible to wheelchair users, although assistance may be required.

Please note that the bunkers, casemates, and cupolas are not wheelchair accessible. Due to the large number of stairs, visits to these areas are not recommended for visitors with limited mobility or certain heart conditions.
